I am really glad not to be raising beets anymore BUT the harvest was always special. Being outside in the beautiful bright blue weather of October was great. We finally had a killing frost here yesterday morning. Still trying to bale hay. So far, the hay is in good shape but it sure doesn't dry well this time of year. bonnie

This photo is just so beautiful - the crops, the truck and the blue, blue sky. It's just a perfect snapshot of living in the country.

If only we could freeze time...

Hugs to all of you from both of us. I've uploaded most of the pictures from my Grand Canyon adventure to Flickr (using up most of the space I'm allowed to for this month already -- I'm too God D****d cheap to go "pro"), and plan to upload a picture of the new license plate for my car. (It's a special plate for dog and cat lovers -- of the extra 25 bucks you pay for it, $17.95 goes to local spay and neuter clinics.)
