I need to start paying attention.

Considering that the cattle industry in Montana got its start when herds were driven up here from The Republic of Texas in the 1870’s (I know, Texas had long since become a state, left the Union, and returned by that time, but most folks down there still think of themselves as an independent nation), and that the current bovine population consists (partially, anyway) of decendants of the survivors of the balmy winter of 1886-87 (think of Charlie Russell’s “Waiting for a Chinook”) does that mean Montana cattle moo with a twang (and have a hankerin’ for Lone Star Beer)?
Sounds like the USofA isn’t the only country in the world with researchers with too much time on their hands…

Does this mean that our Holsteins here in NY moo faster than cows in other states? Hmm, I never noticed.
I think those farmers in GB need to get out more.

Having lived in Texas for awhile I can categorically state that Kirk is correct….it’s the United States of Texas. If it doesn’t happen in Texas, it doesn’t happen.

I have a little dog who talks with the cows across the street . They also lick his little face when he is near them. When on our walks he searches for them and whines if they are far away. Just wish I knew what language they are speaking.
