I found another photo of Allan sharing with the dogs. I took it just over a year ago. Now I share most of my meals with the three of them. If I leave anything unattended, Sugar helps herself.

They seem very happy to be shared with! I have a feeling that they are spoiled, which is just how dogs should be.

I let Sheba lick the plate clean after I’ve eaten (which is the closest I get to letting her eat people food, except at the holidays when I’ll give her some mashed potatoes and turkey with gravy). Even so, she’ll still give me that look that says, “You never, ever feed me.”
Until about six months ago, she ate nothing but dry dog food. Now I have to bribe her with a pouch of wet food mixed in with her senior pup chow. (She gets stuff like Beef with Gravy, Lamb with Rice, Filet Mignon, Country Stew. The dog eats better than I do!!!)

My world is better for you sharing your love story with us. Yes, it is possible to miss somebody you never knew.
My favorite story was the one when you had the very strange man to lunch because you each thought he was the other’s friend.
