Oh the poppies are beautiful! I planted some this year, (crosses fingers) :)
My horses are nosy like this too. If anyone comes around, they all come up and want attention.

I'd almost fortgotten what flowers (or, as they say Down South, "flares") look like.

And it's good to see that the utility boys are hard at work. Here, if our power goes out, it takes Arizona Public Service or Salt River Project (depending upon where one resides -- in my case, it's SRP) at least a week to figure out what the problem is. (In most cases, the hampster was taking a well-deserved break from the treadmill.) Then they'll send out a crew to stand around until fresh coffee is available at the local Circle K.

"Flares" don't grow well in the summertime here because it's over 100 degrees outside. Celcius. (At least it feels like Celcius -- especially in a trailer with no Swamp Cooler. I've been resorting to taking a shower and not towelling off. This provides relief for about 30 minutes. I may have to break down and spend the night in a motel. They're supposed to install the new swamp cooler on the trailer on Monday -- to the tune of 27 Benjamins.)
