Glad to see you got some corn chopped finally. Got back yesterday, and discovered Maggie is still here, but a corner of my footstool has been chewed off, and the barbecue cover is in shreds. I leave town again tomorrow. Should be interesting to see what I lose this trip out. Linn

What happened Moos, the email I sent you said you didn't exist. (do you really exist?) You have a way of stirring old memmories. When I was about 13 I had to drive the flatbed truck home from town, cause the 'adult' I went with on a parts run got drunk. Really drunk. Those were the days. We didn't have a radio to listen to, anyway I don't remember one....but that was a couple years after 'Born to Run' I think. It was Springsteen.

"Born to Run" wasn't a jingle for Kaopectate, but it's not a bad idea. (H.K., if they do use that song as a jingle in the future, get yourself a good lawyer and sue the bastards for stealing your idea. I'm sure everybody here will testify in your behalf. ;) )

Many annums ago, this gem showed up before the airing of a late night movie on a local TV station somewhere is the USofA: "Stay tuned as Pepto Bismol presents Woman on the Run" (Maybe she stopped at that IHOP after picking up parts for the combine.)

Oh, and Moos, last night (another exciting Saturday evening here in Mesa, Arizona) I listened to your bravura performance from last May on YPR (I had bookmarked the webpage, and the show is still there in it's entireity, although there is a 30 second gap while you were talking about something. Even so, it was good to listen the the Fab Four of Montana Blogging again. Hope there is a repeat show soon, although I won't be calling in--because I'm online in the dialup mode.)

KD in AZ (with BD--Big Dog--sleeping nearby)--a/k/a "oikyqbf"

Parts runs were always a pain, considering are nearest John Deere dealer was 70 miles away and the Case Dealer about 50.

The fresh chopped corn smelled so good on my bike ride yesterday though. I go right through several fields and it definitely had the tinge of fall in the air

I don't know who did the song but I do know about running after parts. It is a pain but it is always something to be thankful for when the dealership has what you need. Too often you have to order and the part is sent "next day air" to arrive in a week or three. Between the farm shops and the local machine shops a lot of engineering goes on to make things go without the right parts. bonnie
