Corn Chopping
It’s overcast and gloomy here this morning.
I thought this might brighten things up.
I love sunflowers.
We’re preparing for corn chopping. Not that anything else is slowing down or stopping. We’re busy getting equipment ready. We did get the tubes, socks and gated pipe out of the fields. I need to get the kitchen stocked. We do stop at noon during corn harvest. I don’t run equipment for corn chopping. I’m usually around the place. Our equipment is old and tired, like us. Which means that I may have a few parts runs. But hopefully, I’ll be closer to the computer.

Parts runner… been there. And if you don’t know whats what, you, as The Girl end up looking like the idiot, instead of the Man who told you exactly what to get!

That is a pretty sun flower. One of our neighbors has about 30 acres of beans that is just a bloom with sunflowers. I don’t think he likes them that much. I think he has given up and is going to disk them up.
We started our last 100 acres of chopping yesterday. I think we must be about 2/3 done tonight. Have had a couple of good days.
Had some rain today and it is cool. About 45 degrees at 7:30pm.
I am getting tired of cooking for a crew. It is twice a day now as our grandchildren are here for supper this week. bonnie

36 degrees! Oh my goodness, I’m not sure what the temp was this morning, but this afternoon soared to a blazing 95.
I like sunflowers, too - and that is a lovely one!
