Goatopolis as usual, makes me laugh ’til I cry!
Babs did a wonderful job, as always. Pink duck slippers and boas, hmmm…
Chenoah - WOW! Everyone must want you to interview them! And thanks for clearing up the Hannibal Lecter reference. I think…
Scroll down to read Montannie’s and Mike’s interviews. I have comments for the both of you - but I’m holding them in (for now).
And Linn, see what you have to look forward to!

You have “comments?” Well by all means…send them along
I don’t have a problem with criticism but delayed gratification is not my strong suit :-}

Hi Mike! No criticisms - just a few observations & comments.
Please do start blogging! The MT bloggers are a relatively friendly bunch - helpful & full of ideas. Some are whiz kids. Some are novices (I fall into this category). But I’m sure having fun with it!
Re: Your interview answers
I love Katz’s! Or I guess that I should say “loved”…
Hmmmm - I used to work for - you’re not going to believe this - The NYC Department of Rent Control. I’ll be quiet about that for now.
What kind of lilies? Curcubits?
I hate to say this but some of it reminded me of a post called “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Farmer”… but you have an agricultural background.
By the way, can you spare a few thousand acres?

Hey K:
I’ve been investigating the blogging thing a bit more, and I promise to share the news of the first post sometime soon
You want something from Katz’s or 2nd Avenue? Let me know…I have connections
My lily efforts are mainly with the Asiatics. I love all Curcurbits, have even taken vacations in search of unknown varities (yep, I’m a geek). I’m doing my best to break the 450 lb barrier with the Mammoths but at my elevation it ain’t easy. I’ve been breeding and crossing the Hubbard’s for shits and giggles the last few years…had some interesting colors but no great epiphany with taste or consistency. If you’re interested in either the lily or any of the cucurbits I could provide some handy resources.
I read the entry you mentioned about the “millionaire farmer.” Might be worth lots on paper but the original acreage was homesteaded by my family in the 1800’s, and added onto in subsequent years. It’s not mine to sell, only to pass along to the next little Mikey in hopefully better shape than I found it
Can I spare some acreage…get some kawfee and lets tawk, no big whoop

Lilies are among my favorites. So are curcurbits are a speciality. Cucumbers, pumpkins & gourds - oh my! Don’t like squash, so I don’t grow much.
Have you considered writing something for Macohmet?
March 25th, 2005 at 7:50 pm
Are you, or have you considered joining the Seed Savers Exchange? While I’m not offering anything this year, the SSE does need more of a Montana presence. What have you grown?
Yep, have considered joining Macohmet. It’s on about the same time frame as the unveiling of the blog…mid to late April sometime
