Back in July of 1913

Uncle Tom in Ekalaka was too busy to write.
But he managed to get this pennant postcard off
to his niece Idella who was staying in Great Falls.

(Don’t forget - Click on the photos for beter resolution!)

Aside from the usual day to day things here -
I’ve been getting all the books and taxes together.
Not my favorite thing to be busy with…
I’d rather be spending more time with the cattle.
I haven’t been keeping up with any of my correspondence.
Should I make my New Year’s resolution now?

The bad news about resolutions is that you have to keep em. The good news about resolutions is that you have to keep em. So grab a stack of blank postcards, and some 23 cent stamps and get crackin! Meanwhile, Happy New Year from Hells Kitchen, USA.

What about - ‘All work and no play makes Karen a very unhappy Blogger.’ Check out NZ and get a few surprises????

Shelly - sounds like the voice of experience!

Mr. HK - That’s a great idea! How about y’all drop me an email (there’s a link on my profile for those who don’t have one of the too many addresses I have) with your mailing addresses & I’ll mail you a card.

Torlla - It’s karma - I guess that I’m making up for all the past play.

Annie - Spoken like a true Montanan! I just finished one major job, and now I need to get with the ranch account. Wish me luck - Ag taxes are due on March 1st…

To All - Happy & Prosperous New Year Wishes!

I have been to Ekalaka a few too many times since it is more near Colstrip. I had a friend from there and we LOVED to say Ekalaka in the most annoying voices! :O) Good friends, huh?!

    Happy New Year!!!

Shelley - when anyone comments on my “accent”,
I say, “I’m from the eastern part of the state.”
If they ask where - I say Ekalaka.
    If they ask, “What state?”
    I give it up!

Isn’t Ekalaka in West Dakota? Anyway, thanks for the Xmas email and have a great New Year.
