Busy, busy, busy…
Yes, I’ve been neglecting my blog and blog visiting.
I hope to have more time for blogging soon.
Yesterday we held the Second Annual After the Harvest Celebration
at the Silvertip - in beautiful downtown Belfry.
It was a good time to get together and “visit”.
Bonnie and her husband won the “long distance” award, and we were so glad to see them again.
At the invitation of “some woman she met on the internet”, brave Linn and her husband drove down. Once here, they met that strange woman, and ran into a few folks that they already knew.
I think that everyone had a good time. Those who missed it, well - maybe next year!

Punchin’ cows on a jackrabbit. They don’t make postcards like that anymore. The best one from here in AZ was a picture of a saguaro cactus–which can grow up to 150 feet tall, but have a root system that goes down a couple of feet–after a winter storm having fallen out of the ground onto a parked car, cutting said automobile almost in half. (The best story regarding these giants–which can only be found in the Sonoran Desert–was when a yahoo decided to use one for pistol practice. He shot the succulent so full of holes that it snapped in half and fell on him–proving that there is a wise and just God.)
Glad to see you didn’t get snowed in in the massive metropolis that is Metro Belfry. I somehow get the feelin’ that if you’re going to be snowed in, you’d rather be stranded in at your Rancho Deluxe. (If you’ve never seen the movie by that name, and you can find it in the video store, go see it. Livingston never looked so good…)

Funny how many people will come to a party in beautiful down town Belfry! It was a good time. Also neat that one of the first people you see when you get adjusted to the change in light is an “old” young friend even when you are 140-150 miles from home!
Snowing in Wyoming today and I am off to one of those farm tasks that includes a CPA. bonnie

My dogs are going to be fired over the bunny explosion on the place. They chase them, but only the cat catches any. We may have to start saddling them up. They’ve destroyed all the little trees I planted this spring. It goes on & on: No one’s getting thin around here.Hello Mr. HK! I’ll visit you soon for my NY fix.
Hey Kirk! I have a couple of these jack rabbit cards - note that they’re always Hereford cattle. Black Angus became stylish later. I’d like to see the saguaro one.
Hi Bonnie! Do we ever get a non-busy season?!
